Game Drives at Kwantu are an experience bar none. Guests are treated to the Big Five, as well as over 250 bird species, abundant Insect and Plant-life, as well as exotic and endangered animals. Kwantu is situated in what legend refers to as 'the cradle of mankind'. In the heart of Frontier Country, the reserve boasts 6000-hectares of an animal-friendly mix of grasslands, fynbos, valley bushveld and sub-tropical vegetation.

Preditor Camps
Guests will encounter a number of rare and endangered species, including new additions to Kwantu such as the wild dog, Bengal Tigers, the Serval and many more species that form part of Kwantu's Predator Education and Rehabilitation Program.

Kwantu Elephant Sanctuary
Nestled adjacent to the N2 on the way to Grahamstown, only one hour from Port Elizabeth, the Elephant Sanctuary lies in a malaria-free area. It is surrounded by natural indigenous bush and is home to impala, bushbuck, blesbuck, blue wildebeest, springbuck, kudu, baboons, porcupine, caracal, leopard, a host of other small mammals, over 200 bird species and of course our five magnificent African Elephants. Experience one of Africa's most spectacular creatures as they go about their lives. Experiencing the African bush from an elephant’s perspective - walking besides them or riding high allows you to get close to the animals. An Elephant not only is able to cope in water and sand with equal ease, but can also get quite close to other game, which is generally unaware of the human presence. Experience our educational show which will include and educational talk and allows visitors to touch and feed the elephants and may incorporate a short ride. This experience allows you to learn more about these gentle giants – the true “King of the Beasts”.

Special occasions such as weddings, are usually best set in a spectacular surrounding and environment, where the events, guests and memories are ones that will last for a lifetime. Kwantu provides the idealist setting, venue and surrounding scenery to make that special day even more memorable and different. Religious Facilities

Kwantu Private Game Reserve's gates have remained opened for other religions, which have the privileged to use religious facilities that are found on the Game Reserve. Two Christian denominations, the Anglican Church and the Methodist Church continue to conduct their services in the church buildings found at the reserve. Kwantu has made available a Musalaah to the Moslem Community for their religious services while visiting the Game reserve. At Kwantu your religion is respected as this is a place were people who have different religious backgrounds gather.
