Start your day with a pickup from your accommodation in Port Elizabeth and areas along the way to Addo Elephant National Park South Gate, which is home to the Big 7, including the Southern right whale and the Great white shark in its marine section. If staying outside of Port Elizabeth, your guide will meet your at Addo Elephant National Park South Gate (Matyholweni Reception). Stop at Matyholweni Reception to get entrance tickets and use the restroom. Embark on a guided safari experience with your professional nature guide showing you the southern section of the park that has a wide variety of wildlife with high chances of seeing lions, buffalos, zebras, warthogs, birds of prey, captivating landscapes as well as a wide variety of antelope species. Stop for a tea/coffee break at a scenic viewing point overlooking the coastline of the Addo Elephant National Park Marine Section and continue to explore the wild side of Addo. Take a lunch break where your guide will showcase his/her African food preparation skills whilst you keep yourselves hydrated with a variety of cold beverages. After lunch, continue to explore the Addo bush and visit the biggest waterholes of the Main North section of the park in search of 'swimming or showering' elephants depending on the weather. Towards sunset time, begin to back track towards the south section with the hope of finding animals that prefer the cooler temperatures. This, 'golden hour' period makes a perfect opportunity for some of the best photos of the day as the lighting effect becomes magical dependent on weather.
