Description
Sea Point is a beautiful suburb of Cape town, situated on a narrow stretch of land between Cape Towns well known Lions Head to the southeast and Atlantic Ocean to the northwest. It is popular with it's promenade on the edge of the shore stretching all the way into Mouille Point passed Green Point. Camps bay is Cape Towns party beach, with beautiful long stretch of white, palm tree lined sand bordered by a promenade full of restaurants, clubs, and hotels for when you need a break from the sun. Visit Hout bay and explore the sheltered bay of Hout bay that has a white sand beach, and attraction for tourists and locals alike. Hout bay has one of the busiest fishing harbours in the Western Cape with an established tuna, snoek and crayfish industry. The harbour is home to Hout bay Yacht Club and Seal Island Boat tips. Up Chapmans Peak is a mountain on the western side of the Cape Peninsula, between Hout bay and Noordhoek in Cape town. The western flank of the mountain falls sharply for hundreds of metres into the Atlantic Ocean, and a road, known as Chapman's Peak Drive, hugs the near- vertical face of the mountain, linking Hout bay to Noordhoek. Tourists and locals often stop at viewpoints along this road, which offer views of Hout bay, the Sentinel Peak and surrounds, as well as over Noordhoek beach. Embark on a Cape Point tour that begins with an understanding of it's unique geographical features. Cape Point is situated on the Cape Peninsula, a narrow strip of land extending southwards from Cape town. It is flanked by the cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean on the western side and warmer Indian Ocean on the eastern side. The dramatic meeting of these two ocean currents at the tip of the peninsula creates turbulent seas and treacherous conditions that have earned Cape Point it's reputation as the ' Cape of Storms'. Explore Simons Town with it's gorgeous beaches, rich history, and the colony of African penguins that call it home. Quaint buildings line the historical mile from the train station to Jubilee square, against the backdrop of mountains with innumerable picturesque hiking trails.Includes
