Description

7:30 am pickup from your cruise ship at the Port Elizabeth cruise terminal, followed by a short 5-minute drive within the harbour to the recreational dock, where we board the boat for an exciting marine Safari in the protected waters of Algoa Bay. Here, we search for dolphins, seals, sharks, and the seasonal Humpback and Southern Right Whales. We then circumnavigate St Croix Island for close-up views of a large breeding colony of African penguins. Afterwards, we return to the harbour to visit a nearby restaurant for a light lunch. Following lunch, we board the tour vehicle and depart for a 35-minute drive to the malaria-free Addo Elephant National Park for an exciting safari, scanning the vast open landscape for the more traditional members of the Big 5. Upon entering the park, we check in and immediately begin our game-viewing experience, searching for the many and diverse creatures in the thickets and on the open plains while learning about the habitats in which they live. The reserve is famous for its population of over 700 African elephants, herds of buffalo, lions and leopards, as well as numerous species of antelope, zebra and warthog, complemented by the rich and diverse bird and reptile life that inhabit this expanded National Park - the 3rd largest in South Africa. After an eventful Big 7 Safari, you will be dropped off at your cruise ship in Port Elizabeth around 7:00 pm.
