Description
Begin your morning with a pickup from your accommodation in Gqeberha, or Colchester. Head to Addo Elephant National Park in a premium open 4x4 safari vehicle, led by a qualified local guide.
Enter the park and spend approximately four hours exploring key sections, including waterhole areas where elephant herds and other wildlife regularly congregate. Addo is Big Five territory, home to over 600 elephants alongside lion, buffalo, rhino, and leopard, plus a wide variety of antelope and birdlife — giving you a strong chance of encountering several of Africa's most iconic species in a single drive.
Your guide shares expert insight into animal behaviour, park ecology, and the history of the reserve as you move between viewing points, with the pace set to allow time to properly take in each sighting rather than rush between them.
Stop for tea, coffee, and snacks at one of Addo's scenic viewpoints, giving you a chance to relax and take in the surrounding bushveld before continuing the drive. The tour concludes with your return transfer to your original pickup point in Gqeberha, Colchester, or the greater Addo area.
