Depart from Jeffreys Bay with complimentary pick-up and drop-off from your accommodation. Travel with your guide, Benjamin Van den Heever, a local with over 20 years of fishing experience. The journey includes a drive to St Francis Bay via Humansdorp, where you can ask questions and receive local fishing tips.
Learn to launch, prepare, and navigate the small vessel 'Joh lene' after safety checks in Port St Francis harbor. Spend the day on the ocean targeting local reef fish using sustainable techniques and light tackle rods. Watch for whales, dolphins, seabirds, and other marine life during the trip.
All fishing equipment, bait, and safety gear are provided. You will also learn to catch, clean, and prepare your fish, which you can then enjoy with family or friends. An optional fish braai (barbecue) is available for an additional fee, where you can relax by a fire with a drink as a meal is prepared by Benjamin.
The tour lasts between 6 and 7 hours depending on weather, including a sundowner on the route back to Jeffreys Bay where you are dropped off at your accommodation.
