Description
Your adventure begins with a visit to the Big Tree, an approximately 800-year-old yellowwood standing 36.6 metres tall with a circumference of nearly 9 metres. The tree is a short 10-minute walk from the main road through the indigenous forest.
Next, embark on a canopy or zip line tour, traveling between platforms 30 metres above the forest floor, suspended on steel cables between giant yellowwood trees and over waterfalls. This is an optional extra.
Enjoy a forest walk to the suspension bridge within Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve, followed by lunch (own expense).
After lunch, visit Bloukrans Bridge, home to the world's highest commercial bungee jump at 216 metres. The jump cost is not included.
Later, take a scenic drive descending the Groot River Pass to Nature’s Valley before finishing the day at Bramon Wine Estate, known for South Africa’s only Sauvignon Blanc Méthode Cap Classique.
Optional Kayak & Lilo Adventure: For R950 per person, explore the Storms River Gorge by kayak and lilo in Tsitsikamma National Park. This two-and-a-half-hour trip reveals deeper parts of the gorge, including bottomless pools, caves, and ancient forests. Wetsuit and shoe rental are additional costs.
