The Tolbos Country Shop stocks a wide range of products from gifts and curios to homemade jams and preserves. Specialising in citrus products, Tolbos takes full advantage of its local surroundings - the Gamtoos River Valley, which is famous for its booming citrus industry. Customers will find preserves galore stacked on shop shelves, with flavours including grapefruit, orange, kumquat, tangerine and lemon to name just a few. Jam lovers will also feel like they have gone to heaven with choices of jam such as prickly pear, gherkin, tomato, guava and mulberry to choose from and for anyone after some preserved fruit – look no further!
There is also an excellent range of chilli products, including the 10 out of 10 rated Lord of the Ring and the less fiery, but equally delicious Ring of Fire and Chilli Chilli Bang Bang chilli sauces.
Tolbos Country Shop also stocks a variety of unique gifts and souvenirs and other items such as baby toys, exclusive body lotions and exquisite pottery.

The restaurant is located in a closed-in veranda and enjoys a wonderful and relaxed atmosphere. In summer months guests can enjoy a refreshing drink and bite to eat under the shade of the big tree and in the tea garden can feel the cooling effect of the magic mist! In winter there is a warm open fire so that guests can cuddle up on the cosy couches and enjoy a cup of something hot.
The menu is varied and offers something for all tastes. From delicious breakfasts such as the Tolbos Breakfast which features traditional South African Boerewors, bacon, eggs and toast with some of that delicious homemade marmalade to scrumptiously filled sandwiches, hearty meat dishes made from local produce and decadent cakes and treats for dessert, Tolbos certainly deserves its title ‘Die lekkerste shop in Patensie”.
