You get to experience the very best of South Africa’s coastline. Experiencing a good mix of nature, culture and adventure on this 7-day tour of the Wild Coast, the Garden Route and the Whale route from Durban to Cape Town. This trip will give you a taste of some of the best things the spectacular Garden Route has to offer. This tour starts in Durban & ends in Cape Town. Day 1 Durban to Mthatha. Stop by and see some local villages and locals. Overnight in Mthatha Day 2 Mthatha to East London. Drive on the Wild Coast. Visit Nelson Mandela Mthatha Museum which features a lot of history on the life of Nelson Mandela. Make a stop at Qunu - Nelson Mandela birthplace. Overnight in East London. Day 3 east London to Addo National Park and Port Elizabeth. Most of the day is spent in the bush seeing wildlife including Africa’s Big 5 in Addo Elephant National Park, the 3rd largest Game Reserve in South Africa. Overnight at the Kelway Hotel or similar in Port Elizabeth. Day 4 Port Elizabeth to Plettenberg Bay. Stop at Bloukrans Bridge for a sky walk or world’s highest bungy jump – own expense. Visit Robberg Nature Reserve for hiking which will take you up and over the sand dunes plus the spectacular views. Overnight in Plettenberg Bay. Day 5 Plettenberg Bay to Knysna. Visit some animal parks in Plettenberg Bay/Knyna area. Visit the Knysna Heads. Overnight in Knysna at aha the Rex Hotel or similar Day 6 Knysna. Visit Knysna Quays Waterfront. Sunset boat cruise – own expense. Overnight in Knysna at aha the Rex Hotel or similar. Day 7 Knysna to Hermanus to Cape Town. Visit the whale watching sites in Hermanus –in season. Go for wine tasting at Benguela Cove Wine Estate. Go to see the African Penguins in Betty’s Bay. Make a final trip to reach Cape Town in late afternoon to conclude the tour.
