De Old Drift Guest Farm
Easterncape
The only sounds you will hear when you relax and unwind will be the enchanting sounds of nature...
Just a short distance from the little village of Addo and set in South Africa’s malaria-free Eastern Cape Province, De Old Drift Guest Farm is just a 15 minute drive from the renowned Addo Elephant National Park, now proudly boasting the Big Seven and numerous other species. While you are staying at De Old Drift Guest House, situated on a small citrus farm, you can relax around the pool or enjoy walking through the orchards and gardens – when the citrus trees are in flower the air is filled with the perfume.
Delicious breakfasts are served in the thatched lapa overlooking the gardens and swimming pool area and you will enjoy watching the three delightful dogs – a Labrador (Pumba), a Bull Mastiff (Mufasa) and a Jack Russel (Timone)!! Dinners can be arranged if necessary. The thatched lapa has bar facilities available and there is a private veranda to relax on and listen to the sounds of nature.
Tours are available through the citrus orchards where you can go on foot or by quad bike and then meander down to The Sundays River just a short 2km away. Nyala, Kudu and Rooibok can be seen along the ridge of the mountain as you go.
Delano, a qualified tour guide, will take you on an unforgettable tour into the Addo Elephant National Park in an open top vehicle. Children are welcome at the Guest Farm and on the tours. If you are a bird lover the Addo area is renowned for the many varieties. The spacious, relaxing and immaculate bedrooms and bathrooms are a treat to return to after a long day in the Addo Elephant Park.
Lize and Delano will ensure your stay is a pleasure and you will look forward to returning time after time.
