The following is a suggested itinerary for a 5 day Garden Route tour from Cape Town: Day 1: Cape Town to Knysna • Depart from Cape Town at 8am • Travel on the R62 Wine Route passing through the towns Worcester, Robertson, Montagu and Oudtshoorn • Stop at Oudtshoorn for a tour of this town • Continue to George & Wilderness • Overnight accommodation in Knysna, at aha The Rex Hotel or similar Day 2: Knysna to Plettenberg Bay game Reserve after breakfast • Game drive at Plettenberg Bay game Reserve • Depart fromPlettenberg Bay game Reserve and head to Bloukrans Bridge • World’s highest bungy jump at 216m (own expense) • Skywalk at Bloukans Brdge (own expense) • Overnight accommodation in Knysna, at aha The Rex Hotel or similar Day 3: Knysna to Plettenberg Bay • Visit Robberg Nature Reserve for hiking • Visit white sand beaches in Pletenberg Bay • Visit the Knysna Heads • Visit the Knysna Quays Waterfront • Sunset boat cruise in Knysna – own expense • Overnight accommodation in Knysna, at aha The Rex Hotel or similar Day 4: Knysna to Hermanus • Depart from Knysna after breakfast • First stop in Swellendam for a brief tour of this town • Then proceed to the Southernmost tip of Africa, Cape Agulhas coastal town. See the meeting place of the Atlantic and Indian oceans. • Then proceed to Hermanus for the night Day 5: Knysna to Cape Town • After breakfast do a brief tour of Hermanus • Whale watching in Hermanus – in season • Proceed to Benguela Cove Wine Estate for wine tasting • Proceed to Betty’s Bay to see the endangered African Penguins • Arrive back in Cape Town in the late afternoon
