A 7-day tour from Cape Town to Durban along the Garden Route offers a fantastic journey through some of South Africa's most beautiful landscapes and attractions. Here's a suggested itinerary of the tour: Day 1: Cape Town to Oudtshoorn • Depart from Cape Town at 8:00am. • Drive along the N1 highway towards Worcester • Join the R62 wine route (the world’s longest wine route) passing through Robertson and Montagu • Make a stop at one of the wineries for wine tasting in Robertson or in Montagu or at another point • Continue scenic route on the Little Karoo until we reach Oudtshoorn • Visit a private game ranch in Oudtshoorn • Overnight stay in Oudtshoorn Day 2: Oudtshoorn to Knysna • Drive to Knysna, stopping at the town of George along the way. • Visit the Knysna Heads for stunning views of the coastline • Take a sunset cruise on the Knysna Lagoon. • Overnight stay in Knysna at aha the Rex Hotel or similar. Day 3: Knysna • Spend the day exploring the Knysna and Plettenberg Bay area. • Visit the Robberg Nature Reserve for hiking. • Visit local beach in Plettenberg Bay • Explore the Knysna area and visit some animal parks in the Knysna area • Enjoy fresh seafood at one of Knysna's renowned restaurants in the Knysna Quays Waterfront. • Overnight stay in Knysna at aha the Rex Hotel or similar. Day 4: Knysna to Port Elizabeth and Addo Elephant National Park • Drive to Bloukrans Bridge. • Do sky walk on the bridge or bungy jump (world’s highest at 216m – own cost) • Continue journey to Addo National Park. • Game drive in Addo National Park. • Chance to see Africa’s Big 5 – elephants, lions, rhino, buffalo and cheetah. • Overnight stay in Port Elizabeth at the Kelway Hotel or similar. Day 5: Port Elizabeth to East London • Depart from Port Elizabeth and continue along the Garden Route. • Stop at Jeffrey's Bay for a surf or leisurely beach walk. • Continue driving towards East London, stopping at various points of interest along the way. • Arrive in East London in the evening. • Overnight stay in East London. Day 6: East London to Mthatha • Depart from East London and drive towards Mthatha. • Continue driving through the scenic Eastern Cape countryside. • Stop at Qunu birthplace of Nelson Mandela • Visit the Nelson Mandela Museum in Mthatha. • Overnight in Mthatha Day 7: Mthatha to Durban • Depart from Mthatha after breakfast • Make a stop in Port Edward and do a brief tour. • Proceed and make another stop in Margate and do a brief tour. • Arrive in Durban in the late afternoon.
