Falcon Rock offers a wholly unique restaurant and accommodation choice. Situated just a short drive from Port Elizabeth and nestled amongst the stunning slopes of the Lady’s Slipper Mountain and close to the wild expanses of Van Stadens Wild Flower Reserve, this friendly, relaxed and welcoming venue offers a truly enchanting experience – a place where families and friends can come together for something ‘beyond the usual’.

With its glorious mountain backdrops and lush indigenous trees, guests can enjoy the truly stunning setting whilst tucking into a bite to eat or sipping on a few lazy drinks while enjoying the country air and setting.

The rustic indoor restaurant with its great ambience comfortably seats 60 guests and is perfect for smaller weddings, private functions and parties as well as relaxed dining with good friends. Outside there is seating for up to 30 guests and on a bright day this is the ideal spot for a long lunch taking in the spectacular views.

For those looking to enjoy a more lively evening, the licensed bars, the decor harking back to the old days of exploration, with black powder rifles, stools made if gum tree trunks and artifacts on display make it a great place to watch your favourite sport. There is plenty to keep the kids entertained as well. The enchanting and spacious garden is equipped with a playground which has swings, a jungle gym and a sandpit – an ideal and safe country atmosphere. On summer days guests can even enjoy the swimming pool for a small fee.

The menu at Falcon Rock ensures that all tastes are catered for with its varied and tasty South African cuisine. Enjoy classics such as Karoo lamb chops or oxtail hotpot and wash it down with a glass of good South African wine. Spitbraai’s, Potjies and self -braais are often on the menu at Falcon Rock and the monthly Sunday Buffet (held on the first Sunday of each month as well as other special occasions) is Falcon Rock’s specialty with 3 option choices to suit all appetites, and is not to be missed.

Falcon Rock also offers great camping and chalet accommodation near Port Elizabeth for those wishing to enjoy the great hiking and mountain climbing routes in the area – an excellent accommodation choice for families and groups of friends wishing to get ‘back to nature’ whilst visiting the Eastern Cape. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - open for tea and lunches from 11:30 until closed.

Saturdays – open from 09:00 until closed

Sundays – open from 09:00 until 16:00

Closed: Sunday evenings, Monday and Tuesday.
