Deals - Things To Do in Eastern Cape

If you’re planning a trip to the Eastern Cape and want to enjoy some great activities without paying full price, this page is for you.

We list only those things to do that currently have special prices or offers, so you can spot genuine savings and make the most of your budget. Whether you’re keen on wildlife experiences near Addo, coastal walks around Jeffreys Bay, or cultural tours in Grahamstown, there are often deals worth considering.

Keep in mind that prices here can change frequently, especially as the high season approaches or when weather shifts in places like Port Elizabeth. It’s a good idea to check back regularly to catch fresh offers. Also, some deals might be limited in availability, so booking sooner rather than later can be wise. A handy local tip is to explore weekday options when some tour companies reduce prices to fill spots, which you might not find advertised openly.

Local advice for snagging deals

If you’re around Port Elizabeth or East London and want to save on activities, try planning midweek trips or visiting just outside school holiday periods. Operators tend to lower prices when demand dips, which is usually Monday through Thursday. Also, if you’re flexible, ask about combining tours or group rates, especially for wildlife visits around Addo. A lot of smaller operators in Grahamstown will sometimes reduce rates for last-minute bookings or if you stop by in person. This approach might not be advertised online but can lead to genuine savings, especially if you’re comfortable adjusting plans on the fly.

Deals fluctuate quite a bit, sometimes weekly or even daily. It’s best to check back often, especially before your trip, since offers can expire or new ones appear anytime.

The listed deals give a snapshot of current offers, but prices can change based on availability or seasonal demand. Always double-check the final price when booking.

Discounts on major attractions do pop up, particularly in off-peak seasons or for group bookings. Keep an eye out for seasonal specials and weekday rates.

Sometimes yes, especially during quieter periods. Calling or visiting operators directly can yield some unadvertised savings if they need to fill spots.

You’ll find deals mostly in the shoulder or low seasons when demand is lower. Peak summer months usually have fewer discounts on popular activities.

Both have pros and cons. Booking early secures a spot at the deal price, but last-minute deals may offer deeper discounts if operators have availability to fill.
